The NFSC Portal for Journals in Indian Folklore and allied disciplines would give scholars a means of obtaining peer review and constructive criticism, and publish articles and journals for the free use and benefit of the community of students, scholars and teachers devoted to higher education in humanities and social sciences. Works can be submitted after registration in each of the journals listed here and the draft marked for inclusion in the critical peer review process. With successful passage through this stage, the article can then be published in the journal of choice. The journals listed and published in the NFSC portal have an editorial board, theme and specific policy guideline for accepting articles. This publication system uses Open Journal Systems where editors can configure requirements, sections, and the review process. The Systems enable online submission and management of all content, subscription with delayed open access options, comprehensive indexing of the content part of global system, email notification and ability to comment for readers and complete context sensitive online help support.

Journal of Media Studies
The new Journal of Media Studies proposes to create space for sharing original research papers written on Indian media including cinema, advertisements, television, public service media and new media in the internet. Prority would be accorded to papers written to analyze, explore, and present experimentation to curve out spaces for the cultures of fragile and marginal communities. The relationship between the media and its influence on public spheres is one of the research areas that is close to the other researches carried out by National Folklore Support Centre.
We plan to launch the first issue of Journal of Media Studies by June 2011.

Journal of Tribal Studies
Our new Journal of Tribal Studies seeks to offer a forum for presenting original research articles written on the India tribal cultures and expressive behaviour. There is great need to present and share research on tribal languages of India many of which are threatened and are on the verge of extinction. Dedicating a journal to the tribal studies would focus scholarly attention on the oral literature of the tribal languages and renew interest in lexicon projects, and educational endeavours that concentrate on multilingual education.
We plan to publish the first issue of Journal of Tribal Studies online in June 2011
