Jamia Millia Islamia
January 17, 2009 – January 20, 2009
The assault on the twin towers on September 11, 2001, occurred on American soil but is global in significance. The assault is symbolic of a global malaise which has far-reaching consequences for the whole of humanity. This is a crucial historical moment to lay the foundation for a truly global dialogue from an Asian perspective. Does the East have a message, or even a solution to offer in our war-ravaged, terror-stricken times?
The Congress proposes to bring together a distinguished community of scholars and academics, leading voices and representatives from different faiths, the media and NGOs working in the field of peace building.
It will be held between January 17 and 20, 2009.
